The Armstrong Center for Community Learning (ACCL) is accepting applications for post-secondary scholarships. Camp #43, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War is hosting the Second Annual Wall Of Flags.  It’s from May 1st through the 31st at Riverfront Park Kittanning at the Amphitheater.  The goal is to line the railing at the top of the Murtha Amphitheater with American Flags.  The flags are approximately 11.5 x 16.5 inches in size.  A “Wall of Flags” would be an impressive site and showcase to Visitors, the pride Armstrong County takes in it’s Veterans…...

Please consider participating in the Kittanning Memorial Day Parade to honor our fallen heroes.  The parade is being presented by the Sons Of Union Veterans of the Civil War on Monday, May 27th in Downtown Kittanning at 10am.  Individuals may carry a photo of a deceased veteran from their family. Parks Township Sportsmen’s Association is having a Kids Fishing Day on Saturday, May 4th, 10am at the Parks Township Sportsmen’s Club Lake.  Registration is Saturday April 27th from 9:00am until 12:00 noon.  Just call the club at 724-845-2390 to register.  It’s for kid’s to the age of 15 years old.
